Work Ready

The Work Ready program is designed to support TANF eligible individuals with at least one child 18 years old or younger, who have a high school education or GED/HiSET, to gain paid internships and college education. The goal is to provide a track towards permanent employment in the licensed child care industry. This project is funded under a Grant Contract with the State of Tennessee.

Our artists come from varied underserved backgrounds and circumstances: those experiencing homelessness, living with mental and physical disabilities, disabled veterans, women fleeing abusive situations, political refugees, and others. Our community programs are designed to serve our wide range of populations.

The Imagination Library

The Dolly Parton Imagination Library is pleased to announce that it is partnering with Signal Centers to provide one book a month to Hamilton County children from birth to age 5-years-old. Signal Centers has a rich history of developing and managing services that support early childhood education to the Chattanooga community and across the state. Reading is the single most significant factor influencing a child’s early educational success and Signal Centers is delighted to help every family in our county have access to engaging books for
young children.

Assistive Technology Services

The focus of AT Services is to promote the incorporation of technology in the lives of people with disabilities. AT Services offers assessments, equipment demonstrations, device loans, a toy lending library, and a reutilization/refurbishment program.

Family Forward

Family Forward provides intensive Case Management, Mentoring, Coaching and Support to expectant mothers and families in low-income communities in Chattanooga. Services are free and voluntary.

Childrens Services

Childrens Services

Our goal at Signal Centers is to prepare children for Kindergarten and lifelong learning. The school includes both center-based and home-based programs for children six weeks to five years of age. Center-based programming includes fully accessible facilities and
integrated classrooms.

Adult Day Services

Adult Day Services

Adult Services is a social and recreation-based program established in 1978. Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to be independent in a safe yet lively setting. Adults age 55 and older with physical or cognitive concerns are also supported to be active and engaged.
