Signal Centers Children's Program offers a unique 6-week summer camp for children and youth 3 - 22 years old, of all abilities. Camp Signal offers a quality camp experience while specializing in social and emotional development through fun projects and activities, and provides age-appropriate activities in art, movement, music, crafts, sports, water play, games, singing, dancing, cooking, drama, science, and technology.
The children enjoy visits from the Tennessee Aquarium, Chattanooga Zoo, Reflection Riding Arboretum and Nature Center, The Chattanooga Public Library, Pure Genius, UT Agriculture Extension, the Hart Gallery, and the Chattanooga Fire Department.
Participants also excel in age-appropriate activities in art, movement, music, crafts, sports, repurposing, water play, games, singing, dancing, cooking, drama, science, and technology.
"Students with disabilities want the same summer experiences that other students enjoy - opportunities to try new things, to improve their own health and wellness, to experience recreational opportunities, to explore their creativity, to play, and to experience the revolution that technology has brought. Camp Signal provided these opportunities," said Donna McConnico, CEO.
The camp is supported, in part, through funding from the the City of Chattanooga and the United Way of Greater Chattanooga.
