rotating imagesThe Assistive Technology (AT) Center was established in 1991 and is funded through a variety of sources including The United Way of Greater Chattanooga, the Tennessee Technology Alliance Project (TTAP), and Tennessee Vocational Rehabilitation Services. As one of only five AT Centers in the State of Tennessee, it is accepted as a Resource Center with both TTAP and the Alliance for Technology Access.

The focus of the AT Center is to promote the incorporation of technology in the lives of people dealing with any disability. Technology is utilized to empower people with disabilities, giving them both control and choices in all aspects of their lives.

Services offered are:

  • Demonstration and Assessment (both on and off-site)
  • Training
  • Technology Loan Program
  • Technology Reutilization Program

The Assistive Technology Center services children, adults, and families living within SE Tennessee. In some instances, services may be provided in NW Georgia and NE Alabama.

NOW ENROLLING for Chattanooga Children's Program Pre-School and Signal Centers, Inc. receives dollars from AT&T to expand its donor management software system.

CHATTANOOGA CHILDREN'S PROGRAM: The Pre-School Program is accepting applications for immediate placement of three and four year old children. See full article for complete information. MARKETING AND DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT: Through the AT&T Excelerator Program, the Marketing and Development Department was able to expand its current donor management system to meet the increasing demand to track donors, funders, and community involvement with the agency.
